Chrislea Aircraft was formed in 1936 by R.C. Christoforides and B.V.Leak; their first machine , the LC1 Airguard was built in 1938. Post-war R.C.C. produced the CH3 series1 Ace and followed in 1948 with the series2 Super Ace.
These aircraft had a tricycle undercarriage  and a most unusual control system.; overall 18 were built.
G-AKVF, the subject of the model, was originally exported to the Lahore School of Flying, Pakistan in 1950 as AP-ADT.
It was later flown back to the U.K.in 1958 and registered as G-AKVF.   After crashing in 1972 it was declared ‘damaged beyond repair’.
However the remains were bought and after a lengthy repair and restoration it flew again in 1981.
