That Merlin is very good for 3 blade siamese exhaust single stage matey.
The siamesed pipes(3 per side) make 'em much quieter than the 12 single stacks.
A 3 blader is a lot more "thrummy" on prop noise than a 4 blade.

The Griffon is very close,a tad more "beat" and you've got it .

Here's SX336 starting up,taking off and flying by.
He'll(John Beattie) be using about +6 @3000 to take off and
+2/+4 @2650 to display.

Have a go at this beauty's sound too Garry, the awsome contra-propped

I would say the Griffon is very very close Mark

Just would like to hear the pop pop pop when you pull the throttle off it

I have a Spitfire which has the classic pop pop pop, but it appears to have been added to a gauge and not the soundset. That sound would definately finish them off.
Also i cannot for love nor money find a clear full throttle sound of a Griffon, so you'll have to bare with the sounds as they are for now;)

Well Gary, once you've got 'em uploaded and I have my sim up and running,if someone can come online and "Frap"me,I'll fly a quick demo similar to what Jim does above with VP441.
