Sea Hornet

The zip file seems to be corrupted. Whenever I try to unzip it is showing 4 CRC errors.

Hello Leif,

Your Sea Hornet is really a beautiful piece of work. The advantage of third-party add-ons in the FS series is for me that rarer planes also get the chance to be modelled. As I wrote earlier this download link worked perfectly for me for the two-seat Sea Hornet, but I now have the same downloading problem with the F Mk. 20. After downloading I get the message that the zip contains no archive. I cannot remember that I ever had this problem with other sites like Sim-Outhouse or Simviation. You said it might be my downloading speed. Is there any solution?

Many thanks,

Stickshaker

ITS NOT MINE:P
Its Rob Richardson's -- If I could build things like that I would be a very happy camper - Mahalo for the Ego boost - but........

I had not expected it and it didn’t work with the nightfighter version, but simply downloading again did the trick! I was lucky: it took me only two download attempts, but it is worth to keep trying for some time if you are less fortunate than I was. The plane is certainly worth it: splendid cockpit, beautiful exterior and a joy to fly. The view over the nose is so exceptional that I will start carrier landings as soon as I have practiced some more runway landings.

Hi,

Thank you very much for your reply.

I went to see Duxford Flying Legend's Airshow on July 2007 and 2008 !!! The travel was organized by Le Touquet Aeroclub. I'm learning to fly at Vernouillet-Dreux Aeroclub...
I expect to success the PPL (A) at 2011

I'm going to try your nice airplanes !

I'll tell you later what I think of these.

Best regards.

Hi,

Thank you everybody for your welcome

Well done ! The DH-103 is a magnificent airplane... The flying shape seems pretty good. I feel it very pleasant and easy to fly. The virtual cockpit looks like of the best paywares airplanes addons.

I like so much DeHavilland airplanes with a preference for the romantic Tiger Moth, Dragonfly, Dove...

Congratulations and thanks to Rob Richardson for his good work ! Just a question : where is the mixture handle ? I didn't find it near the throttles and propeller RPM adjustment handle ??? However, Ctrl+F2 or F3 adjusts the mixture

Chris. Good day from France.

Hello Chris,
The Hornet was supercharged and as such did not have mixture control levers, it was all automatic as I understand.

Ca va Chris.

The Hornet's Merlins were fitted with injection carbs and had both
automatic mixture and supercharger controlling.

They were a developement of the 60/70 series two speed two stage
Merlin originally fitted to the Spitfire VIII/IX/X/XI.

So all you have to do is work the throttles, boost pumps and prop revs.

Nice and easy

Hi Everybody,

Thank you for your answer Rob. Now, I understand the reason for there's not a mixture handle in DH-103 !

Have a good day !

Chris from France.
