Lost my reply again!
Rich, its great! Done a good few flights now and take-offs at 80 InMg and 3000, can do on a bit less, climbs a a good 4000 pm as per book , scalars right, no power loss. Flying like the real thing I guess, at last.
only one minor problem. I do run with full realism and was getting tremendous left yaw at take-off as soon as TO boost. Did a crash course in torque, P-Factor on yaw and roll, THEN noticed yaw stopped after plane levelled (by which time I was well off runway even with foot jammed on right rudder) So P-factor not Torque. Checked by dropping realsim sliders one by one So its P-factor realism to left in realism, or p_factor_on_yaw = 0.
I chose the latter as I didn't think P-factor affects Hornet with props rotating opposite directions (or cancels out). That fixed it. You're right FSX isn't right - checked Mosquito and Beau as well. All still yaw but not bad, bit like light crosswind.
Apart from that only thought was adding emergency boost. I thought I read somehwere on Hornet as 27psi for 5 minutes. Could possibly add, and put detonation back in? - although don't know if Merlin 130/131s had any detonation limitation.
But I'm enjoying this properly now. Time for a U-Boat patrol.
Guess Ill change the 21 and F3 as well.
Cheers, Mike
