Could I possibly ask a favor? I'm looking at trying my hand of making a nice 2D panel for the DH.86. Problem is I can't find any good photos to use.
....Was wondering if someone could direct me to, or provide links to some panel shots.

Ah, beware the flight global archives, they be the Bermuda Triangle of works lunchhours - many have wandered in and never been seen again as they cruise off through the decades. Well that's my excuse anyway.

I tried the first link Leif. All it gave me was a PDF picture? Found that yesterday. Not much use really.

yes its just a cutaway drawing but gives you enough to get started

btw there a couple of excellent panel makers who hang around here.....Lars Fors for one

I hate to ask of them. We all have our own fixation of sorts.
....The drawing on the PDF is good. Mind you, there is already a 2D panel in Mr. Ito's plane. I would like to make it better and I figure a good way to learn FS Panel Studio at the same time

You're a lucky man Ole'boy that pdf drawing offers a wealth of detail and it's much better than some I've had to work from in the past.
Part of the reason why I like building Austers - Martin and his real-life flying chums are only too keen to get their cameras out and shoot away at the real thing for me .

The PDF file is a great reference. Although I am wanting to do a photoreal rendition so I can stay away of having to do it all by hand. If at all possible of course. Short of finding a usable photo I'll settle for what's there.

We used to have those aircraft operating here in New Zealand (before my time), operating routes now flown by 737s.
I have a publication (somewhere) detailing the operation of these and I think that includes a cockpit photo?
In the DH86 in my FS2004, I just make do with a DH89 panel, accepting the fact that there are only half the number of engine gauges required, but happy with the cockpit shape.

Hi Tony. Like all DH aircraft, this one has gained my attention in the simulator also. I like the general look of the panel but, it is lacking. I'd like to fix that (or try my best) too. I'm not having much luck with any photos as of yet. So anything at this point is beneficial. If not for my purpose, then for the overall development from one of the boys here. There's always room for resources is my way of thinking.
