I particularly like the sound file, a genuine Continental 0-470 sound.
As has been spoken already this type lost out in competition to the American designed Fletcher FU24 (also in it's original form powered by the 0-470 in either 225hp or 240hp variants.)
As more powerful engines became available, these were fitted to the FU24, ranging from the original 225hp through to the 310hp GIO-470.
Eventually the standard engine was the 400hp Lycoming IO-720.
And then along came the turbines.
Agricultural work is very harsh on aeroplanes and almost the entire production run of Agricolas (Agricolae?) was lost as a result of accidents.
