Auster AOP11 for FS9

#35915 1 year, 6 months ago
Hi - I'm pleased to announce that the Auster AOP11 is now available in the files library under 'aircraft-military' .
Thanks are due to Martin and Brian as usual for their unique contributions to this project and of course to the gang 'behind the curtains' for their beta-testing work.
This represents the last of our attempts to recreate the Auster lineage for Flightsim.
Cheers

Nice one Dave!
Just noticed the drooping ailerons with flaps!
Works OK in FSX without having to change the glass texture (unless my system has remembered the beta version? - & yes, I did delete the beta version before loading the new one!)

Hi Fellows Erik Here
Just done a Circuit of Rersby in AOP 11
You have done It Again, Marvelous Job.
PERFECT. I Cannot Fault It In Any Way. Not THAT I Would Dare To.

Cheers Erik

PS. LEIF Would Have Loved The Sentiment That Goes With It.

Thanks Erik - glad you like it One advantage with building rare aircraft with little public information available is that nobody knows how the models compare with the real thing.
Keith - the flaps are linked to invisible tiny cubes named e.g. , flap_key, which are animated accordingly - they are then linked to the wings. . The ailerons helped to increase the effect of the flaps on the real AOP9 & 11 and hence move on these models to mimic the movement if not the effect.
Cheers

One should be able to add a percentage to the Flap area in the .cfg file to compensate methinks - not that it matters, Brian & Martin have done their usual good jobs - great team you three!

Is that "last" or "latest" Dave?

If it's the "last" what's the next project(s)(whispers in your ear "Seafire XVII"/47 )?

Yes Miggers - it is the last Auster we'll be offering - time to move on to other just-as-interesting aircraft of the era.
The next won't be a Seafire of any mark, Mark - I leave such beauties to those who are specialising in classic British military steeds for fear of being out-gunned by their very evident superior building skills.

I doubt you'd be out-gunned at all Dave, besides, those builders of such steeds
only build for FSX.

And there my old friend,I am at an impasse.

Gary J gave us two excellent Griffon soundsets that are just crying out for
a fighter home to give them their purpose y'know.
