hi mark
thanks for your swift reaction
i down loaded and installed the auster autocrat j1 for fsx
the whiskey (?) compass,
at least that's what i assume it is on top of the engine hood
sticks to about 15 and doesnt move (yes i do make an occasional turn)
although i'm a distant decendant of the pioneers who
flew to india and indonesia by guestimated navigation
this is asking too much from me
especially since my great grandfather crashed a klm fokker
near bruxelles (historically true)
my compliments on the auster, and hope you might want to help me
sincerely, bert

Is this Dave Garwoods version or the Dave Molyneaux version?

hahaha
i see my mistake now
it must be the fuel (?) rotating gauge
laughing out loud
compass seems to be on the floor
this must be how we dutch discovered tasmania
aiming for america
by the way, the fokker my great grandfather crashed near bruxelles
was the very same HNACC that made the first
Amsterdam - Batavia flight
i love britsim, cheers, bert

Yes, I thought so
Both Dave G's FSX Autocrat and mine both reproduce the simple rotary fuel indicator on the top of the panel.
Don't feel embarrassed you are definitely not the first to mis-identify that and post the question.
Cheers & ATB for Christmas

Ahaa, the fuel gauge it is! Just imported a default compass "popup". No need for that...
BTW, this is a beautiful little bird for low and slow flying!
Thank you!
