He always gravitates to the World War One exhibit....The Brisfit has currently relaced his beloved Sopwith Camel....cos its bigger and has more guns to shoot the Red Baron.....he also quite fancied the Trojan

Chris T -- I am assuming this IS a replica as there was no one around the museum to tell us and the Notice board doesnt say

As far as I'm aware, all of the POF WWI aircraft are replicas that were built for various movies. One or two came out of the Frank Tallman collection and the rest are more recent builds. Cavanaugh Flight Museum here in Dallas has a replica Triplane from one of the more recent WWI movies (can't remember which off the top of my head) that was a stablemate to one of the POF Allied aircraft.

In that case its a fairly impressive replica of a Brisfit

Not a bad little museum for the middle of nowhere, the Convair 440 is immaculate as is the Martin 404 but the Connie looks like it needs a little love

ML417/21*T lives there somewhere too.

Never forgiven Stephen Gray for selling her to Tom Friedricksen.

She's much missed on the UK Airshow circuit.

Nice A26 BTW.Looks like she's flyer judging by the FOD plugs in the
carb intakes.

What a wonderful place....always wanted to go since a little kid, but done Oshkosh and at the moment cant really justify another trip to the States. If I do make it, think might be to Florida first to try out the T-6s at Kissimmee Talking of Oshkosh that was where had my first T-28 and also had a champagne breakfast flight in that 404 shown in your photos!!

One of the Joys of living in the SouthWest is that you find al sorts of places like POF it seems that almost every airport has something.
