Here's a couple of oddities I came across recently. Although their manufacturer is well known, I was totally unaware they designed & built aircraft.
I apologise for losing the registrations - my brush must have slipped whilst I was sharpening the images .

Reid & Sigrist Snargasher and Desford!

Saw the Desford at Leavesden in the '60s a couple of times.

Yes I have seen in the dim & distant past the Desford, the other is totally new to me!
I believe also that there was a Desford modified for a Prone pilot - before the Meteor was modified.[edit ] Which is probably the one in the photo!

[2nd edit] A quick reference to the fount of all knowledge shows that the picture is not of the Desford but of the RS4 Bobsleigh which was the Prone pilot mod of the RS3 Desford.......

Hm, one trouble with this site is that there are just too many old wrinklies on it with good memories.
I really did think I'd get folks wondering about these shots for at least a couple of days - not come up with the correct answers so soon . Well done chaps. (thinks - must try harder next time - ah, I know ...)
