P-51 down at Dux yesterday..

Rob Davis had a very lucky escape.

Some pics here show the damage to the SPAD:

He managed to land it safely after a tremendous bit of flying
to get it under control after the impact.

The abandoned 'Stang(D-FBBD/Big Beautiful Doll)mushed into a corn field
and rolled into a ball without any fire.

The main thing,both pilots safe and well.

Hi Mark,

Most glad to hear that the pilot escaped without injury - unfortunately when clicking on the video I got the "file has been removed by owner" message.

Those were some very impressive pictures of the Skyraider!
