Very nice screenshots Fred. Thanks for posting them.

As Leif says Rick's Sedburgh is worth downloading and the winch launch is great fun.

One of the additions to FSX that I think is a real improvement is the ability to get a glider towed to the altitude that you like.

The scenery in this shot is very dull standard FSX though.

This one with Aston Down scenery is better.

If you like gliders in flight simulator a good place to look is here www.fsglider.de/index.htm

Not Classic British but some classic models available for both FS9 and FSX. I fly both sims.

Hi Leif,

The Aston Down shot is the DG101. For all I know they look the same.

The towed aircraft is a Schleicher ASK 21 . . . . . It could be lots of things from that angle.

They're both very nice models and worth the time to download and add the extra gauges. See the link above.

Jon

P.S.They have the KA6E available too. www.fsglider.de/p_e.htm Click on Gliders part 2 in the left panel and scroll down.

P.P.S. Showing my ignorance (again ) The DG101 seems to be a model of DG100 not a different aircraft as I'm sure you know.

P.P.P.S. I'll wave to the Air Balloon for you as I drive past in a couple of days.

Lots of us still fly FS9, my hangar is something in excess of 1500 aircraft available for the roster.

Looking at the quality of the VFR in FS9, its still superior to FSX - if only we could get rid of the blinking Watertowers!!!
looking at the scenery it's great. well done
